For anyone who played Halo 1 for the first time in 2001, the ending of this game was just fantastically nostalgia trip inducing. I couldn't think of a better way to transition from Reach to the beginning of the series. Reach has to be one of the most underrated Halo games.

For me, this is where Halo ended. No 343 Industries, no Didact, no Created, no Banished. Master Chief went to sleep at the end of Halo 3 and stayed adrift in space until his death. Halo Reach was the prequel to bring everything full circle.

There's something that pulls at my heartstrings so hard from about 7:55 mark to the end. The climax of the score as we see Halo slowly spinning in the frame. The sacrifice of Noble Team leads to the *game-changing* discovery that will ultimately reverse the course of the Human-Covenant War and save Earth from destruction. Nobody aboard the _Autumn_ could possibly imagine the gravity of what is about to unfold for them. And we as the player can only watch them approach destiny.
