Almost everything about this episode is Solid to Great, but the fact is that we're just not able to make the most of it at this particular point in the season. The whole episode, you can feel everyone staring at the clock as each second ticks away, with only so much time left to get us to the ring. It makes sense that we might just end up using a portal to Halo given how much time is left and what would need to be in place for the standard Halo CE setup, but that just opens its own can of worms. If they didn't feel the need to get us to Halo by the end of the season, I think we'd be better off. The season wouldn't feel so truncated, at the very least, and telling a season long story on Halo is already going to be a huge challenge even without the deadline to getting there coming up extremely fast.
