Thats because the cinematics are made by Blur who are simply reusing assets from Halo 2 Anniversary. I guarantee you, if 343i used Blur all of the time, the models would look 90% the same, for each game.

Well, well, well, what a very stressful situation, on one hand, if this actually succeeds it may actually mean the possibility for a revival of the RTS genre, BUT, many developers may wrongly believe they can actually make RTS games for consoles, an idea which has had the most disastrous results. On the other hand, a failure may show, again and perhaps once and for all, RTS games should never be done for consoles, BUT, it may sadly ensure the genre remains niche and underground. There is also the fact that no matter how awful this turns out to be, like with C&C4, a great deal of people will buy it just because the spartan armour and the Halo brand slapped in the box, inflating sales and making it looks like it was an decent success. Just like with the new Dawn of War 3, you can have some modest expectations from the industry, but someone manages to add some sort of element which completely twist what certain bitter old guys expect from a RTS game.

Although you have to give the original halo wars credit. Despite it being on console, it operated rather smoothly on the Xbox 360 and the controls, although not perfect, also worked well. Halo Wars was recognized as a large success. One of the reasons it wasn't bigger, was that halo fans, who were targeted for this game, were really looking for the fps they know and love. For now, I suppose we will have to wait for the game's release to see it's success or failure.

Pabo Jlabs I was thinking the exact same thing, it would've been suicide but that's what ODST's were for. They (since the spartan 3's were not created yet) were also used as suicide troops as well as the special forces. ODST's deserve more attention than they currently have, an Halo 5 ODST or Halo ODST: Bloodline would be amazing.
