I was going to say look it up, but it's an effect whereby the sound produced by an amplifier or an amplified musical instrument is made to reverberate slightly. It's basically an effect used in music helps you get a thought and or feeling of where the music waves are at and enriches the sounds of instruments and vocals with audible atmospheric trails.
