There was no need to bleep "*drunk* at the steering wheel." You can hear such pain in Halsey's voice when she sings that lyric. The song is about how a person you love can make terrible decisions, and how you choose to let them go before they take you down with them. She's honestly describing her ex-partner's self-destructive behaviors and how painful leaving them was. It's a healthy, empowering song. We need more of those from our country artists.
