It isn't "voice cracks," it's compression-induced vocal distortion. She's tensing her larynx, squeezing her vocal folds up against one another until they grind against one another & eventually close shut. Not the healthiest way to induce "grit" in one's voice (read: don't do this, squeeze & push is *not* how you produce a gritty, grainy sound without hurting yourself), but done sparingly like she is it should be fine.
@leenastha3 жыл бұрын
Halsey's voice is seriously no joke. She has really beautiful voice. And to ppl saying she's not that great or that she's straining her voice, I'm pretty sure she knows what she's doing. Don't try to be a vocal coach lmao.

She has a talent with her voice. I honestly wish she'd release an all acoustic/stripped album and do an album that's more rock.. I try listening to the album versions and it's just not the same with the way they mess with the audio. Anyone that thinks this isn't her knowing how to use her voice knows nothing on music.
@markroberts3143 жыл бұрын
As a rock fan, her voice is way up there with the best. She controls and explodes vocally when she needs with zero notice. She knows exactly when the timing is right. She is fantastic. And yes, she has an unreal voice

I looked at it, I am not sure she's nervous, her hand is shaking because her hand is so relaxed the thumb action is making her hand wiggle.

I'm not a fan of Halsey or her music but this is perfection! She doesn't need all the fake autodrumb beats, the autotune, the tough persona, or the backup dancers/singers. Just use a piano or an acoustic guitar and her. She is perfection by herself (unadulterated Halsey) and is way more than what is needed. If she made a full album like this I would buy it and listed over and over again.

Not only does she have the best voice I’ve ever heard, but she is just stunningly gorgeous.
@chloverfield994 жыл бұрын
"I'm tired and angry but somebody should be" If the studio version was the angry side of her, this is the tired side. Not to say she sounds unenergetic, but you can hear the exasperated, pleading, intimately sorrowful aspect. You can hear it in the little "Look" before the 2nd verse. I love both versions, each highlights something different. Brilliant song, gorgeous performance🖤

@@Haddy26 Which is? "i have borderline personality disorder and someone else is getting blamed for it, especially the men, yes i blame the men, not the wahmens , listen as i justify sexing up the wahmens and bed hopping , but no no , my misery whilst totally self inflicted and bourne of destructive self hatred is all the mens fault, because i am wahmen and im psychotic" thats my best guess. If shes to be taken at face value that is a more cynical me would say its more "Ive worked out how to monetise my emotional instability as a way to both make you fear and pity me and i am embracing my fast cycling bipolar/emotional personality disorder as a means to make money but of course its still YOUR fault because you are obviously to blame"
