GE head was designed by Yamaha BUT Toyota modified the GE head from Yamaha to make the GTE head which is a better flowing head .... So the GE head is NOT better than the GTE head.

Mechanical fuel pumps don’t like to lift fuel. Why didn’t they mount the pump as to have the ability to use all the tanks fuel without trying to suck it up hill. Nice car but that part is not good.

Fuel tank outlet is at the bottom, so it will have a siphon effect. Plus there are a bunch of cam with cam-driven pumps and they all work well

Any reputable MFI plumbing schematic will have the pump below the tank other wise you are pulling a vacuum which air rates the fuel. That is just waiting to bit you.

Heaps of cars run pumps from the cam shaft and have no issues
