Halvarssons Sunne jacket review

I’m on my second pair of Sunne pants. Extremely comfortable as I find all Halvarrsons gear. I’m a bit of a fan boy. I have 5 pairs of their gloves and two of their jackets ( Naren and Lysvik) Please note they are NOT waterproof. They wetted out around the crouch and ass area after a massive downpour. The rain dripped off my Scott waterproof down the back and the front. Motolegends were happy to test them and did replace them with a new pair. However the exact same thing happened in another heavy downpour with the replacement Sunne. Again Motolegends were prepared to “test” the second pair. I told them not to bother. Summary: A very well made trouser . Super comfortable BUT NOT WATERPROOF unfortunately. I have cc’d Halvarsson’s on these issues a number of times but have not had a reply . Very disappointing. Ps The late Sven Goren Erickson was born on the Norwegian 🇳🇴 island called Sunne.

What is the main difference between this jacket on this vs the Halvarssons Myrvik jacket Chris?

Isn't that a Lindstrand jacket? Or do you call them Halvarsson in England? Btw really enjoy your channel! Keep it going /Markus from Sweden

Over here it is too confusing. We call them all Halvarssons as they come from the same company.

@@Motolegends Halvarssons and Lindstrands was bough by DBC (Duell Bike-Center Group) December 2019, the jacket you're showing is for me (in Norway) a Lindstrands jacket, it even say so over the left breast pocket.

I'm planning a 4 week tour from Holland to Norway next August, riding a Tenere 700 and and considering getting this suit, do you think it is ok for Norway at that time without having to add another mid layer for warmth? does it keep you dry?

@@ObanHighlander I don't own this suit, I have a Rukka R-EX (Kalix 2.0), riding in Norway in August you should expect anything from 5 to 30 degrees C. and you definitely want to be waterproof, either by the suit itself or an additional rain set.

I just watched a video by halvarsson/Lindstrands and it has a destination liner fitted,even though you said it was not lol.

Not looking dope on your way to work isn't really a biggie in my book if it saves you from being a tube of human mince under a lorry that's about to miss his exit 😅, there are fluo accents that are done a lot worse, but I really like this, I do want to come and pay you guys a visit when things open up again 🤞🏻 Also, yould Sunne, not be Soon-eh?

Adventure riding in a laminated jacket is no problem at all. But real off road, hardcore crossing in a laminated jacket absolutley is. At least thats my opinion.

But this is the brand Lindstrands not Halvarssons, but its same owner on bout, anyway have Lindstrans myself but oder modell, great fit for me

So if laminate is not the way for “proper adventure jacket” what you recommend(concrete product) for adventure jacket and rain protection?

Thank you for your informative and detailed ( and honest) description of all the clothing that you keep in your store. It may be nice to know if any material used in the pants ( this one and others) may scratch the paint of the tank? Some pants use goat leather in the thigh areas for example to hug the tank and also not to scratch paint?! Regards from Athens
