Nice of mike to jump in to angrily refuse to answer the guy's question. Thanks for handling him, Josh.

@hrcc I am intrigued by the skyloop as I have more then enough space at my qth for one. Im just wondering (and this may be a question for them) would the chameleon matching unite work for 160m with the right amount of wire of course? I have no problem using a tuner. Thanks for everything you do Josh. I have learned so much from you. 73 Carl KM6IOK.

New here. Please explain the value of the license BEYOND the educational value of learning how to operate a radio… I’m stuggeling to understand how radio operation is SO dangerous that license and regulations are absolutely required when the internet can do 1000x more than a radio but has no license requirements. Part 2 would you be open to the internet requiring license in the manner as radio operation?

Legal limit for hams ia 1500 watt operation. That can seriously be harmful if you are too close. The goal of the license is to create system where experimentation, education and radio service can occur. Random anonymous operators does not incentivize this type of activity.

@@HamRadioCrashCourse do we really need a permission slip from the government for that?

@@HamRadioCrashCourse Also random anonymous users built the internet you take advantage of to create content and generate revenue.

Josh is right. YL and OM are risky because they group based on immutable characteristics. It always concerns me when people refer to others as members of a group rather than as individuals. Also, yes, Elmer is a dated term that personally makes me cringe.
