I did pick up the mini Volcanicus set as it was coming out. I’m a sucker for combining Dinos so I did love what they were trying to do at a smaller scale. The upgrades with Dinoking here definitely make the set better, maybe I’ll pick him up if he goes on sale. Honestly I wouldn’t mind if they continued to mess with small scale combiners. I know that’s unlikely with the current state of core class but it could be fun to see a mini Devestator down the line.

Very happy to get the Dino Force Crew. For Legends/Core class figures, the designs and color schemes are really smart. There are some small nit picks here and there, but nothing that doesn't make me want to toss the set out. Has-Tak has really been working the Victory Roster in the past few years. Will we see a Blue Bacchus? That would be rad! Now, to find some appropriately sized Dino Mounts for my crew.

@@HamManReviews that aforementioned cheerleader effect, plus, the overall proportions, better fists, actual feet, and generally good articulation for Dinoking, are factors contributing to my unexpected enjoyment levels. Having seen all the poor pics of Volcanicus, I was expecting a miasma of colors but still that almost cool combiner. Instead we got the diminutive dynamo that is Dinoking. Hell yeah.

I am soooo tempted by this even though the core bots are pretty awful and I have no idea what a Dino King is... Robot dinosaurs are just too cool, no matter the lack of elbow joints on most of them.

This version of Dinoking is definitely more akin to the toy than the tv show version seeing how the orginal Dinoking was a micromaster combiner so he was pretty small back then as well but for a more accurate tv show , we definitely need commander or haslab version of Dinoking .

Another great review and those songs are so good, those and the pirate King are great additions into your reviews, really enjoy them. So I have the third party dinoking and he is combiner wars height as my defacto dinoking but this lil core set is pretty cool and once I get my upgrade kit for core volcanicus will look great with him.

@@HamManReviews maybe Dinoking did. I know my G1 Ultra Magnus was basically a handless white robot with no accessories for its armor by the end of things. I begrudge losing the hands especially, because I wasn’t clever enough as a six year old to toss them in the cab. Also, it’s an otherwise bad example because there was storage for U-Mags’ accessories. I did still lose them all, of course.

I liked this set as Volcanicus, at least after getting an upgrade kit for better hands, feet, and gap fillers for Sludge's thighs, and would even get second copies of Swoop and Snarl if they hadn't shot up into Voyager territory prices already, but 86 OP and KITT ate my big toy budget for this quarter and the publicity shots didn't make these guys look too good in their motley colors compared to the Dinobots' unified team color scheme. Seeing them in motion like this has done a much better job of selling me on them, but I still don't have the space in the budget, alas. I loved the AI theme music for them, though. That was hilarious!

This review is one hell of a jam! I didn’t watch the show but if this tune was part of the show. Kick ass! It’s one of those tunes Power Rangers would come close to as a toe tap for sure or a vigorous head nod. But they only had like a minute to do those things in. Often you incorporate great music to your reviews. I love it! Hasbro be Hasbro for sure. I probably won’t pick this up but I can appreciate its overall design goal. This makes way more sense than Volcanicus. I have that other floppy one. Shame the king didn’t get a more kingly stature. Time to watch again!
