I take the softened cream cheese and add one "dry packet" of ranch salad dressing seasoning mix. It's the dry mix packet that is typically sold in a box of 4 packets each. This adds an awesome flavor to it.

My grandmother and I used to make these. We both love them so much! I've never known anyone else who ate these. Aww thanks for bringing back memories of cooking with my grandma! Those were such special times! :)

Our variation is to mix the cream cheese with a dash of garlic powder, finely chopped pecans and onion to taste, spread mixture on ham and roll and slice, have never tried pickle, thx Kristen will def try.

oh, and they don't slice them into smaller pieces :-)

"Polish roses" why😦?We don't even eat it in Poland. They don't look anything like any roses, and Polish one either😦 It looks tasty, but I recommend to change the name though😎Maybe to "pickle and ham roses"😎

Wow! these look good!! I wonder if you could use turkey too from the deli? or is it specific for ham? know what I mean? is it the ham that is half of the taste that makes them so good? or would turkey slices work too? I bet these are a hit!!! Lindaxo

Thank you soooo 😂for the tips and tricks on this recipe! Exactly what I needed.

These remind me so much of my favorite "ham & cream cheese rolls".... done exactly the same (sometimes a little grated onion in the cream cheese and a lot of folks here in NC also chop some dried beef from the jars into tiny bits and mix that into the cream cheese too.... all ways are AMAZING). I love pickles and with the ham rolls being normal to me, I cant wait to give these a go. I remember the tips too...you have to dry the ham to get the cream cheese spread on, years of patting it, LOL!

i'm slowly catching up with your DOK vlogs, Kristin, but i had to watch this one first! OMG i love pickles! my classmates in school used to call me Miss Pickle... i even had a pickle shaped phone which i got as a gift! LOL of course, i only eat dill or kosher pickles... no sweet or bread & butter... gotta be sour! i will have to try this out at the next party i go to! thanks for making them for us! XOXO

I do mine with tortillas as well, but I have done them with just meat. I do ham rolls with cream cheese and chives. I do turkey rolls with cream cheese and chives (because usually people have a ham OR turkey preference) and I also do just pickle cream cheese rolls for my vegetarian friends….and pickle rolls are DELISH!

haha I LOVE those. I use beef sliced very thin lunch meat thingies. I've heard them called like cowboy roll ups or something like that. I usually use small dill pickles I don't use spears because of the wetness factor. Cream cheese....yum............
@faithmom189011 жыл бұрын
I forgot to add that I use small tortillas too. First I take a small tortilla, then I put on the ham, the cream cheese/ranch dry mixture, and roll it up. It depends on what mood I'm in as to whether or not I do the tortilla. I love them the way you do them too!

I love these things, but I'd rather eat 'em than make 'em. Anyways, drying the ham (and the pickle) is crucial; otherwise you have a wet, slippery mess that slides all over and won't roll tight. BTW, I usually use sweet pickle instead of dill, and sometimes green onions, too. Thanks.

That is a different but simple appetizer. You can always get lo salt ham & lo fat cream cheese. Even the Laughing Cow cheese would be good. But I guess it would be more expensive. I once tried no salt pickles. OMG, they were the most disgusting thing I ever tasted. Threw them all out. I tried adding spices but no go. I love pickle on a ham sandwich so these sound good to me. I tried to reach for one from your plate but I missed! XX
