Good info! I measure caps when I am building (electric) guitars! I love it when my hobbies overlap!

Dave, the UNI-T UT611 is a discontinued model of the LCR meter. The latest version is a UNI-T UT612.

RLC meters are quite cheap, but for RF if someone have got access to scope then the osciloscope is the way to go as it can measure value in conditions that this element willl be working at. Tere is a posibility that an capacitor at RF have an inductive response to signal.

hmm, when I took a home study course in the mid 50s, and four years later in engineering college, VOM stood for Volt Ohm Meter. BTW, the DVM that you showed, you work your way down (the voltage switch) CCW, not clockwise. ;)

Hi Dave . Thanks for all your videos as I use them always . I have a question . Will a 55 gallon Plastic Drum full of H2O work as a Ground itself . I have a problem with my Grounding here as the Depth of Dirt is only about 2 foot deep at the most . Under it is Solid Rock . I can connect to a Telephone Home Ground however I don’t and can’t believe it goes down to a 8 foot depth . We have tried to grow vegetables and discovered it’s not very deep anywhere . Please help if you could . Thanks ahead of time . Maybe you already answered this question in the past , if so please direct me to that video .

I just bought a Klein Clamp meter CL800 which seems a big upgrade to my 1980s Fluke 8022B. Great meter, except very old and not auto ranging.
