I wish you were my neighbor so that I could join you and bring my rigs and wire antennas! I'm about 235 miles north of you in Parkrose. Thank you for doing this and filming it. Now I can show people things I like to do with ham radio and getting portable, best of all, getting out of the house and into nature!!

Hi Randy, Nice scenery out there. Glad you had a selection of antennas to chose. Made some nice contacts. Haven't used WinLink here. Will need to rectify that situation. You and the family stay safe. 73 WJ3U

Nice video! Great that you had a variety of antennas with you. The Alex Loop antennas are lightweight and compact, but it's always a roll of the dice if they'll perform. And at the price of $499 it will never be on my shopping list for portable antennas...lol! The scenery is beautiful and I really enjoyed the outtakes. 73!

Interesting video! The QRP looks challenging. Seems like the Alex Loop part was short. Everytime I looked at buying the Alex Loop is was sold out. Good thing a variety of antennas were used for the portable operation.

With a beautiful backdrop like you had, I would be tempted to stay there all day. I don't think you brought too much stuff. It's good you brought a variety of antennas, something everyone should do when going portable. Great video!

Good morning Randy! I am really surprized the Vertical Antenna worked better than the Loop did. What can I say? It's all about enviroments / areas and of course band conditiones. I was always used to this if no other antenna really made my day then the Loop Antenna kicked inn for good. It's a very beautiful and peaceful place you picked for your experimental stuff. Great video documentary and good job done by you thru and thru Randy. Thx for sharing this with us. Happy wedensday & 73's de Your Friend Uncle Guenter DK5ONV

I'm pretty sure that I could live without the circus music. This looks like an exploration into QRP the natural way. (with the usual results) I wish he would call his serial port what it is, the port is, but windows (M$) isn't dependable. Ron W4BIN
