Hi Kevin - great and informative video. As usual! Thank you. With TQSL, on the original PC that the certificate was installed, you can choose to 'Save the Callsign Certificate for (your call)'. Then on as many additional computers as you like, you can inport that same certificate file. The certificate file you've created ends with the extension .p12. I've used logging software with TQSL support on a dozen Linux machines over the years, and have only requested the certificate once via the snail mail from the ARRL.

Kevin, you can use your LoTW account on as many computers as you wish. I found out the hard way that there is a very easy way. Can’t explain it here, but go to the LoTW Home page, find the Search window up top and look for Using on multiple computers. You do need to start the process from the computer with a valid certificate. It involves copying a file to a thumb drive and loading it into all the computers you want as long as they have TQSL installed. Enjoy.

Looks like you can run TQSL on multiple computers. From the LoTW web site: You can can submit QSOs to LoTW from any number of computers onto which you've installed TQSL, copied your Callsign Certificates with their associated private keys, and copied your Stations Locations. After requesting a Callsign Certificate, you must accept it with TQSL running on the same computer you used to request that Callsign Certificate. It is therefore recommended that you designate one computer as your Master, which is exclusively used when requesting new Callsign Certificates, renewing existing Callsign Certificates, and maintaining Station Locations. Typically, the Master is the first computer on which you installed TQSL and requested your initial Callsign Certificate.

I wondered about that, it seemed like an unnecessary limitation. Thanks for the additional info.

The ARRL LOTW process is like walking through the process of obtaining a background check to have access to the Nuclear Codes for collecting PostCards 🤣

Hi Kevin, Very good video. I also did not know only one certificate tied to one computer. Makes it difficult if the certificate is tied to your desktop computer and your away from the home station. Wish LoTW had an entry for signal report. It would make for at least a cloud version of a logbook with the minimum of data for the QSO. You still need another logbook with more detailed info of the contact. 73 WB3BJU

It turns out there is a way to save out copies of the cert for use with multiple computers. A few have commented with the info. (thanks guys).

Very good Kevin =) Have you had a computer long enough to RENEW your CERTIFICATE for EACH COMPUTER before EXPIRATION on THAT COMPUTER =) I have six Linux OS computers with TQSL on them =) My NET Computer, The BackUp Net Computer, Testing Computer, Laptop Field Computer, BackUp Field Laptop Computer and Gaming Linux DeskTop computer =) Yep all "Dust Bunny Specials" .... all as closet castoffs with Window's viruses and hard drive crashes =)

Hello Kevin, how about a video on how to install WebSDR on Linux (Raspberry Pi) ? WebSDR using IQ SDR Rx is great fun to monitor over Internet.

a new version 2.4.1 is out for a while but I cant seem to find instructions to update to new version. BTW, I love your wallpaper, what is it? Where can I find it?

I think you can just download the new bundle and install it, it should upgrade the existing packages. I can't remember where I found that. It was on a collection of fractal images somewhere.

Have you installed Wine64,Winetricks64 and the little dll in that Winetricks64 uses to unpack Windows Zip files and should allow you to run your Windows programs that you use for radio in Linux, that is getting to look like the Windows Program Activation procedures but would be good if you could do it online.

No need to run Window's emulators on a Linux OS computer .... it will run TQSL in it's native language of C++ that can be ran on any OS =) Why clutter up a good operating system and leave a open door for viruses and bug to enter from any Window's loop hole in your computer operating system =)

Kevin they ( Linux OS ) now have "Echolink" in the Linux OS repositories of APPs / software freely ( FREE ) available ( it may not be the newest version available ... but the "sudo - UPDATE" will cover it usually =) Just pick it and the repository will load all the ( DLL like needs ) additional APPs to let the program to run correctly on your computer exact configuration =) Thanks Kevin for the great content on all your programs =)
