Hamas Kills More Israeli Soldiers; IDF Withdrawing Troops While Death Toll Nears 300: Report | Gaza

On May 31, the Israeli military confirmed the deaths of two more soldiers in Gaza ground operations. One soldier was killed in northern Gaza, while the other died in the southern region on May 30. Sergeant (Reserve) Adar Gavriel was killed in the northern Gaza Strip during a battle with Hamas operatives, as reported by the IDF. Sergeant Yehonatan Elias was killed as a result of anti-tank missile fire in the southern Gaza Strip. These latest casualties bring the Israeli military's toll in the Gaza ground offensive to 294. Israel is currently withdrawing its army from several northern Gaza areas, according to reports on May 31. The IDF has started the withdrawal from Jabalia, Tal Az Zaatar, Beit Lahia, and Beit Hanoun, as per Al Jazeera.
