The best Deep Purple Tribute Band in the world
Ian Paice is the legendary drummer of Deep Purple (among others, ex-Whitesnake, Gary Moore, George Harrison, Paul McCartney) and currently the only remaining founding member of Deep Purple. Now he is going on tour with the band Purpendicular to bring his Best-Of-Classic-Deep-Purple-Show to the stage. Ian Paice can be experienced live and up close in club atmosphere. No video screen is needed because Ian Paice will perform his unique style of drumming just a few meters away from the audience for over two hours. Deep Purple classics such as “Child In Time”, “Black Night”, “Smoke On The Water”, “Woman From Tokyo” and “Hush” can be heard.
The band Purpendicular, even called “the best Deep Purple tribute band in the world” by Ian Paice and Joe Lynn Turner, has the ability to convey the unique magic of Deep Purple, which is responsible for the success of the legendary rock band, live at every performance. Even Ritchie Blackmore says “Purpendicular is an excellent band” and Roger Glover said after his performance with Purpendicular in Basel in 2012, “They sound fresh and it’s a great pleasure to play with them.” That’s why on the first album “tHis is the tHing,” in addition to Ian Paice, Steve Morse, Don Airey, Roger Glover, and Neil Murray also played as guests. On the current album “Venus to Volcanus,” Ian Paice is once again on the drums. Former Rainbow keyboardist Tony Carey is also featured as a guest. The album made it into the top 20 of the Metal-Rock charts.

Honestly they seem pretty good, it's just that the recording was made close to the bass amp it's too loud in the video (and the bass sound itself isn't that good imo)

Ian Piace admitted on several occasions that the main purpose is to keep his arms flexible while DP is not touring. So comments should be balanced in that sense. Is all fun stuff 😊
