Hamburg - May 2023

From the campsite we travelled by bus and then underground to get into the city. As in most large cities we took the Hop-on-off and then the boat tour to slowly un-peel the views with its dynamic contrast of old and new architecture . The tunnel that you see is called the Old Elbe tunnel which is 24 metres deep and goes under the river Elbe. From the boat trip you were able to appreciate the huge industrial powerhouse of the port and city. There are two images from an Ikea Showroom which was actually next to the campsite and was probably the biggest store we'd ever been in!
