Marc-André Hamelin plays his transcription of Tchaikovsky's "Lullaby" (Op. 16, No. 1) for the left hand only. I own nothing. From Legato - The World of the Piano, Marc-André Hamelin

Some say he's a souless technique machine. I ditched that idea when I heard his Blumenfeld left hand étude, which is musically as well as technically great. I find with the pieces in this series that he's a damn good composer/arranger.

Good for you for getting out of that mindset. People who think like that simply have shallow minds and can’t look past anything farther than the likes of lang langs cringe inducing facial expressions

I discover his Etudes, listening to one after the other (while being on other web sites), heard n° 7 for four times, decided to give a like, read the comments and discover that it's a study for one hand ... look at the vidéo : you are so right !!!

max dell I have never before, seen someone play such a complex tune, one handed! I have now watched more of his videos, and can say that he is an extremely talented pianist!
