Watched it for the first time in 2020 and today watched it again after losing my mom due to breast cancer this year.. and i can literally feel this movie now.. can't stop crying .. every single thing i can relate.. i am 17 ( the same when my mom died this jan 2022) .. still miss her so much and feel like I won't have my mom in major events of my life.. i will not move on and can't move on.. i see my friends with their mom and miss my mom so much.. i love you so much Mamaa ❤️❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭😭😭 it was so tough years with ur breast cancer.. the pain u had in hospital and we watched u in pain 😭😭😭 I can't write this anymore i ma sorry

I am the middle child of three siblings. My oldest sister is a girl and my youngest brother is a boy. We used to live happily with complete parents. But all that happiness disappeared since my mother had uterine cancer and died in 2014. At that time I was only 13 years old, and my younger brother was only 7 years old. After my mother passed away, home didn't feel like home. And the first time I watched this movie, I was speechless, even though the story wasn't 100% the same as my life, but the core of the story and the characters of the 3 children and the sick mother really shook my heart. And now I'm 23 years old, every time I hear this song, I will definitely remember my mother. I miss her so much. Always and forever. - August 15, 2024

"Stepmom" made me cry. Just watching this song made me cry. The American original came out 7 years after my mom passed away, and 5 after my dad got married again. So Susan Sarandon & Kajol remind me of my mom, her name was Norah. Julia R and Kareena K remind me of Dunia. I was almost 15... And though neither my sister nor I got married... She's a single parent and me... well... according to Jane Austen I'd be a 'spinster.' But without weddings for her to be present at... I still miss her...
