@@monetum1392 Nah, difference here was simply that Lewis had way more to lose - already being ahead of Verstappen on the road. Both Verstappen and Hamilton are hyper-aggressive when it comes down to title-relevant battles, but they're talented enough to make it work 99% of the time. Lewis's mistake in Silverstone was just an uncharacteristic misjudgement, not him or Max being any more or less aggressive than they always are.

Hamilton outqualified him 6 poles to Alonso's 2. Lewis also had more podium finishes that's why the rookie beat the back-to-back world champion.

Honestly you can make a case for Fernando being the greatest driver of all time. I don't agree with it, but you can make the argument. He's taken on 3 of the best drivers of all time and consistently beat and matched them. He was the driver to end Schumacher's dominance. He was Vettel's main competition every year. He is Lewis Hamilton's most fearsome rival. I honestly believe there is a different timeline (where he keeps his mouth shut, and plays nicer with teams) where he has 10 world titles.

in f1 games I have a super strat if there's a DRS detection zone I'd brake and let car behind pass me,allowing me to get DRS,then try to stay as close as I can,and overtake the car and run away I call it the "DRS slingshot"

@@vandecayear10 depends. If the other car is quicker, its the best way to let them pass you as you will have DRS and can try overtake once more. However, if all things are equal, its better to stay in front.

@@pvstar1323 yeah, you are right he was second all the race because of that until kimi retired, but even with that, the difference wasn't as much as between the Alpine and the Mercedes, Hamilton was more than 2 seconds faster with fresh tyres, Alpine had nothing to do to win the race, but Fernando is just Magic and he show what he could do if he had a competitive car, we never show a fight like that between Vettel and Hamilton or Verstappen and Hamilton that had better car to fight

Alonso had more to gain for team/mate but not much to lose by running his car wide. Lewis had a lot more to lose (championship lead) if they collided, thus why he would always backed out. The battle at Hungary is overblown really. lol especially considering it's a train track that's already almost impossible to overtake. Ask Vettel and all the other drivers that day who were stuck.
