I stayed at the Sheraton at 11:09 years ago. Being from Pittsburgh, the waitress at the restaurant asked if we were there on steel business. We weren't. We were just staying in a place between Toronto and Niagara Falls.

I love my city of Hamilton. Yes it dose need fixing up but what city doesn't.

Born and raised in Hamilton. Fifty years ago, it was booming; steel companies paid good wages to 25,000 people. That all declined until thirty years ago, Hamilton was considered the arm-pit of Canada. Everybody knew that you'd be risking your safety walking alone on that stretch of Barton Street at night. But now, the whole city has turned the corner and is rebounding nicely... you can't buy a decent house here for less than $750,000.

Hamilton has done nothing but decline since the 90 when US steel bought Stelco. Just because you bought a house for a sack of corn in 1972 and it's worth 750k now doesn't mean the city is improving. That's Trudeau brining in more people than we can house causing a housing crisis making value go up.

Hamilton was a place we visited once coming out of ancaster. Still this drive is beautiful especially the downtown area

Was there in summer ‘84 and really liked it. That is as close as I got to Toronto though. Stayed in Hamilton overnight than off to Niagara Falls next day. 😁
