I presume the yellow used is "giallo Modena", Modena yellow. A signature Ferrari colour, probably the second popular choice for their road cars behind red.

Locking up and shifting early aren’t errors, he’s learning the car and what it’s limits are. I’d be very worried if there were no “mistakes”, that’s mean he was just cruising around but he was seeing what’s what with the car and pushing.

Exactly, testing braking points and the Merc engine isn’t the same as the Ferrari so shifting points are going to be different.

Two of Ferrari's 21st century big signings won their first Grand Prix for the Scuderia. Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso ofcourse. Lewis is joining the Scuderia in the right time to achieve that. It can happen! :) That Yellow helmet is just dope!

I hope I'm wrong, but I'm still calling it now: Lewis did not go to Ferrari because he so badly wants to race for the team. Lewis went to Ferrari for exactly this reason, that literally ALL the news and ALL the attention is on him. For years now Lewis has been much more about the media attention and being in the spotlight than actually enjoying racing itself.
