Likelihood Mercedes will suddenly cough up the support for his foundation and give him the ambassador role, effectively match the deal Ferrari gave him? Highly unlikely. And even if they did match Ferrari’s offer would that land right? No. Just like any employee at a company, if you go out and find a new company and get a great offer and then your current employer merely offers to match that deal to keep you, then it shows you they’re only willing to do the minimum, they don’t value you enough, better to move on. What would Mercedes have to offer him to stay? Carte Blanche, but would they? I’d be really impressed if they made him an offer he couldn’t refuse since they already showed him they weren’t that loyal to his accomplishments. I’d love to see him and the Merc team turn this year on end and him snatch the driver’s championship on the way out the door. There’d be no bigger middle finger to the corporate heads that didn’t think he was worth the added investment he asked for. Might be one of the biggest marketing gaffs they ever made

You seem oblivious of the fact that Mercedes pushed him out... check the interview. Watch the James Allison interview where he clearly states that they "deliberately" offered Hamilton an untenable contract and he is not surprised he left. So for Hamilton to stay, Mercedes have to want him. It's out of his hands. Plus wld they match the 110m / year contract which is 4 years long that he got from Ferrari? I doubt.

The truth is Mercedes don't deserve to keep him, they have treated him with absolute contempt. In 2021 it was Lewis that won their constructors title, and they allowed the biggest manipulation of any race ever, play out in front of millions of fans throughout the world. Since then, they have given him little support, useless cars and done everything in their power to restrain him, they have been complicit in an attempt by the FIA to destroy him and his legacy, installing a false champion in his place. Max Verstapen, whilst a good driver in his own right, is also a polar opposite of Sir Hamilton, he is not a team player, he drives dirty and is prepared to push/force drivers off the track, but kicks off when it is done to him, Silverstone 2021, being a casing point. I hope Hamilton sticks to his decision to leave for Ferrari, and I pray that he goes on to win many more championships, cementing his name in history as the greatest F1 driver ever, kicking both Mercedes and the FIA where it hurts the most, in the wallet.

Mercedes want Max. They made this gamble a while back when they offered Hamilton a way out of his contract. This was intentional. That 1+1 offer was meant to string him along until Max was available. Then Lewis would find himself without a seat. Sadly for Toto & co, Hamilton saw this coming and bailed. So, no. Mercedes are happy Hamilton is leaving, they were only pissed that he one upped them by determining his own fate in the future.

What can i say nothing today why because i know he has made the right decision every time. Sir H. A toujours pris les bonnes decisions pour sa vie de racer. Only as good as the car he's driving? That can be said for any driver. Pretty much every world champion has won the title in the best car. The best teams want the best driver, and the best driver wants to be in the best team. It's just how things work. As for Lewis's achievements, I think you vastly underestimate how insanely hard it is and what it takes to stay at the top for as long as Lewis has done. I would guess that you're a Max fanboy. Max is an incredibly talented driver but did he win a championship in an inferior car? No! He was wrongly handed his first title driving an evenly matched car (everyone knows the title should have been Lewis's), and his next 2 titles in a dominant car. Proving that even Max is only as good as his car.
