Goddam! The acting! The subtly! The sheer longing! That was amazing! I watched the part with the ghost on loop! And the ending had me in tears. It was poetic freaking cinema.

As a lighting person, the lighting of the ending killed me! The focus on Horatio, alone, destitute of all he loved... Alone in a world kf darkness...

I dont know much about theatre nor acting but this is so well done!!! Everyone was so so charismatic and literally did so well!! Especially hamlet and horatio!! They have so much chemistry.. the yearning is REAL here JDJDN! I cant really tell you guys’ age but it was so fun to watch a hamlet where everyone is mostly the same as me lol no shade to the movies! Kinda wish i could watch the full version lolol

Ok, may I just pop in to say that you are so incredibly talented and this entire production is just,,,,,,,, [chef's kiss]. But also this was a while ago so I'm a little worried about making you uncomfortable by bringing this up, but I literally (ha. ha.) haven't been able to stop thinking about my main b Horatio being present for the whole "get thee to a nunnery" scene and I??? can I ask what the reasoning behind that was?? I LOVE it so please don't think this is confrontational but. I am curious and I'd like your take on it, if that's alright. Is there something deeper to having him there? I guess what I'm asking is this: is Horatio actually physically present for that scene, or is he just Hamlet's guilty conscience manifesting itself in the shape of a grounding force/someone he loves and trusts? And thus is Horatio staying behind for the aftermath symbolic of the fact that Hamlet actually cares about the people in his life other than his dearest love Horatio and is just struggling with himself (his sexuality perhaps?)?? What I love about this play is that, no matter the setting, it adapts so well to modern teen lives and struggles and this production does that very, very well (in addition to the blatant, wonderful ignorance of the Cishet White Male Historian's idea of Hamlet. bless). I'm so very sorry if I'm overthinking this (and also if it's a lot), but I find little stuff like this kind of fascinating. Please don't feel pressured to respond, but I'd love to hear what you have to say about it!
