This song is not Jumber Jandieri's composition, it's written by Georgian well-known composer Iakob Bobokhidze. unfortunately, it's often mistaken. The title is - The sun of summer or Summer's sun, I'm not sure which is more correct. The original language of this poem is Georgian. The author has rights of this song, so it would be great if next time the authorization of this song would not be questioned. I'm actually his granddaughter and if you have some more questions I would gladly answer to all of them.

helo Giorgi Sanodze, please tell me a little bit about this beautiful song. It sounds to me as a romance of different kind than many others georgian folk songs (which i like them also very much). What's the meaning of the words and the title/name? does it's source is Georgian (Poet and Composer)? thank you in advance.

It’s a kind of a prayer, but not the direct meaning of the word, he is asking from the sun (meaning the universe, the god) to protect all the people that he used to love.. the words are close to perfection, I am not able to translate in a way that shows the depth and noble feelings of the poet who wrote this

This song is based on a poem by one of the greatest Georgian poets - Galaktion Tabidze. In his poem the poet begs "the July sun" (God) to protect his beloved human. This song is a supplication, a prayer.

This lyrics are from Georgian poet Galaktion Tabidze, This is Georgian song and language is also Georgian. Sadly I don't know much about the composer but from what I could find out it's Jumber Jandieri, also Georgian.
