2 box the Bard with a Druid. Druid pops a Cleric Merc, and Bard pops a Warrior Merc. Set Warrior to Main Tank and the other Roles to the Bard. Pull with the Bard. Get Enchanter and Shaman buffs along with Druid buffs. With a good UI setup, you can quickly do hard mobs.

I have been 4 boxing a Druid with Cleric merc, a Bard with Warrior merc, an Enchanter, and a Shaman. I sometimes play a monk with Warrior merc instead of Bard or Bard instead of Shaman.

Farm ribbon of empathy. Charm mob, run to group, click ribbon to pull pet, then fade other mobs aggro/break charm to kill the single pull. Can use highsun+fade to break multiples in pulls too

For bard kiting: get a good controller that lets you script buttons to link your macros, or run in specific circles. Playing a bard is rough on your fingers

Yeah “playing” a bard is hard. I mostly melody. Hoping to do some solo bard stuff when I get max level tho.

Bards facetank dark blues easy at 120 even in reg grp gear so they are actually valid aa soloers at high lvl, not as fast as a rogue but not that slow either. Nothing can solo like a ranger in NoS tho. kills are ridiculously fast.

25:05 back in the day, you'd dot em with a song and fear them. (of course what you're doing is faster but its an option)

I would have never thought to fear kite with a bard, thank you for the info.

Aggro 4 or 5, charm one, let the others beat up your pet, break charm with an instant invis clickie before it dies. Use chants to kill it the rest of the way, and/or charm new pet to kill old one off.

I will have to give that a try. I remember a bard friend doing that in early game but didn’t thing it was as viable now.

@hammackj it is hell on your knuckles running circles if you plan on doing it for a long time. I recommend third person view so you can watch the adds, and if you can get a steam gamepad/controller, you can set up a button to run your circles for you so you don't get carpal tunnel lol

Thanks for the video. I tried the kiting strategy while using Wizard merc to nuke the mob I was kiting. Mobs kept attacking the merc instead. Anyway to avoid that ?

There is a taunt AA bards get, you would need to have your spells generate more hate than the wizards. It would be hard IMO. You could do no merc for extra exp. I prefer healers since they can survive the hits if they pull aggro.

can you put songs on hot keys ( 1-9) like the original game? i used to be able to twist 4 songs. kind of miss that.

Yes you can put songs directly on the bar like spells.

Clickies for tash, snare, slow, etc all available for bard too.. no root unfortunately

@hammackj don't forget to grab a ribbon of empathy from veksar. Let's you Summon your pet. (Charm pull across the zone easily, or use it to summon / separate your pet from the group of mobs if your charm kiting( before you send it in to attack.)
