So after finding out that north Hammamet which is quite touristy normally is rather quite we took the local bus down to the centre of Hammamet, they call it Hammamet ville (city) and bought some nice breakfast and then headed down to the Medina to walk around. There is no much more going on here, it is incredible. Touristy, I give you that, but still it is kind of authentic and nice. Very surprised to be walking around there. Please do check it out.

Originally from Hammamet, I was somewhat taken aback when you first described it as merely a tourist town lacking authenticity. Hammamet is, in fact, a historic town with a deeply rich heritage. Its inhabitants take great pride in their origins, maintaining numerous customs and traditions that have been passed down through generations. I'm glad to see that by the end of the video, you seemed to reconsider your initial impression. However, there is still much more to explore and appreciate about the unique and authentic character of Hammamet..

the link you made between "tuna" and "tunisia" is very funny loool I think you are the first person to have made this link ahahaha good one... Nobody really knows the origin of the word Tunisia, but what is certain is that it is linked to the name of the capital Tunis, a hypothesis says that Tunis comes from the Berber dialect of the word "TNS" which means "to lie down", "to spend the night", "camp" and another hypothesis says that it comes from the Punic goddess "Tanit" ... But your hypothesis seems much more credible to me Tunisia comes from Tuna because the Tunisians eat a lot of tuna !!

First i want to welcome you to Tunisia!! I hope you see as many places as you can.. And i hope you can visit Djerba island and Bizerte. Also best beaches in Tunisia would be kelibia and Haouaria.. And then answering your question about filming government buildings: in Tunisia you can film anything and you can use your camera anywhere except military bases and military areas and there would be signs there,where you can know that it's not allowed to film and take pictures of.. Again welcome to Tunisia and i hope you have a great time with your family

SANTORINI In 1967, the iconic combination of blue and white even became mandatory when a law was passed under the military dictatorship for all houses on the islands to be painted in these colors. It was thought at the time that this would inspire patriotism and reflect Greek nationalism. Although these regulations were relaxed, they helped cement the association of blue and white with the Cyclades in the collective imagination. SIDI BOUSAID ( TUNISIE ) The village received the name Sidi Bou Saïd when it became the seat of a municipality in 1893. On August 28, 1915, a decree was issued to ensure the protection of the village, imposing the blue of Sidi Bou Saïd11 and the white so dear to Baron d'Erlanger, and prohibiting any anarchic construction on the promontory12,6, making Sidi Bou Saïd the first classified site in the world.

The blue and white pattern is much older than Santorini or even Sidi Bou Said, and is believed to originate in the Carthaginian realm in the heart of the Mediterranean region. Modern day Tunisia including Sidi Bou and Hammamet or Sousse's Old Medinas are just successors of this heritage.

I think tunisia has changed alot because of the economic struggle , the country is almost bankrupt, people live in misery thats why you cant see anything interesting, about filming people not just the africans who dislike it but most people around the world do , in USA you may get shot , just for staring not even filming .
@yvesthesleeve
