Love it! Pennsylvania doesn't allow carnivals to run the rolo-planes horizontally any more. (They did when I was a kid.) Some nonsense about not being able to rescue people if the ride froze up, which, to my knowledge, has never happened. Eyerly originally developed the ride as a pilot training device in the 1930s. Thanks for posting the video!

Little Amerika Amuement Park in Marshall, Wis has one of these in operation Memorial Day to Labor day. They call theirs the "Test Pilot", but it is in fact an Eyerly Roll-O-Plane.

Wow, one that goes through the full vertical and horizontal ride cycle, not just the vertical. Nice.

Do anyone know if this ride is still working? I want to ride one of these before the last one goes to scrapping.

@byrdsmaniac Interesting, so that's why every year when Poor Jack does Allen County Fair in Ohio, every year I've went after '06 they never ran the ride horizontally (the last time was in '06 that I can recall).

Most shows stopped "Helicoptering" the "Hammer" as the insurance companies would no longer insure it if it was operated in such a manner. Meeker shows disconnected the mech and so did Family Funways.
