When you tried squirting the whip cream in your mouth only the gas came out, that gas is called Nitrous oxide and people would use it to “get high” they called this “whip-it’s”. You can stop the gas from coming out by holding the can upside down and keeping the nozzle downwards when you spray the whipped cream
