Bought one in early 2020. Drives great. No trouble with the engine or power. The kids love it. Because of the solid axle you get traction on both wheels. I have driven it in about 8 inches of snow and it does not skip a beat. The headlights are not bright so added an 18 inch light bar to the roll cage. Perfect now

I want something like that to spend more quality time with my grandsons. Had a VW bush buggy in ‘70s early’80s that dad and I built together. Miss the fun he and I had,and would love to give my boys those types of experiences.

The air filter was the main reasons I switched out the gy6 to a predator 420cc.

Looking at buying one of these, is there a choke cable somewhere? I know the new ones have a knob on the right side of the drivers seat. Didn't seem to find one on this machine and had a hard time starting when in was cold. Thanks
@TrailJoe2 жыл бұрын
On the LE model there is a choke cable on the side of the seat. But in the gts it is electric choke.

Just got a brand new one and there is a obnoxious rattling coming from behind dealer said this is normal is he full of it?
@TrailJoe2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I had the same exact issue with mine. It’s a common problem on these Chinese go karts. It’s most likely a loose bolt somewhere.

So apparently there is a speed governer and mine has been going slow, can you tell me where it is and how to govern the speed
@TrailJoe2 жыл бұрын
That’s weird, mine didn’t have a speed governor. Try making sure the throttle cable is tight and push the gas down all the way and see if the carburetor is fully open, sometimes there is a little device behind the gas Pedal that restricts it. Best of luck fixing it
@AnabolicSteriodsShot2 жыл бұрын

@@TrailJoe do what he’s saying but still it will run slow. You have to get a high performance CDI box. Already went through the trouble of researching for you. Here is the one that fits and works. Mine went from 37 to now 45mph. Next I am upgrading with an exhaust kit from hammerheadperformance

All of this is great but who makes the thing?

Hammerhead is owned by Polaris, so these things tend to have pretty good build quality for what they are!

Is it reliable? I’m thinking about buying one
@TrailJoe2 жыл бұрын
So as reliability goes I would say it’s one of the most reliable Chinese products. It’s not gonna last you as long as a Yamaha or Honda, but it’s also not a lemon.
@dubo20572 жыл бұрын
Have any ideas how many years it would last?
@TrailJoe2 жыл бұрын
@@dubo2057 if would say if you took decent care of it, it would last a minimum of 5 years before you run into any engine problems. normally you can get 10 years out of them with good maintenance.
