It really is easy and simple but you are right. I also did not know it the first time I used a hammock, but was quickly shown this by another hammock user.. Never went back... Thanks Mark!

This one is a combo hammock / bivy tent... Works both hung and on the ground.. Thanks Snowy!

Just remember not to go too low to the ground.. The straps do stretch some during the night and you may be all the way on the ground by morning. Thanks DC&A

Yeah the net is set with the hoops so it can be used as both a hammock and a ground bivi tent.. Thanks Trav!

My problem with the hammock is hammock, straps, tarp and under quilt are heavier than a tent in many cases.. Thanks Kriz!
