Lol 0:30 "very affordable keyboard". Last I checked this was retailing in the neighborhood of $2, 400, so I wouldn't go as far as calling this "affordable" for most folks out there. Nevertheless, this is a professional Hammond instrument and indeed does have some amazing capabilities. A+ otherwise, just had to giggle at that "affordable" factor since most of us live here on the planet Earth.

+Mr. K Compared to a "real" Hammond (B3, XK3C), the SK1 is quite affordable ;-)

Danny Benthien Lol well yes, that's true and all, but then again an authentic real Hammond B3 is analog and is a hell of a beast and quite a piece of furniture, too. Something few of us really consider while comparing is that a real B3 is BIG, it's solid, it's vintage, it has a lot of materials, craftsmanship and 'balls' to it, which also should be accounted for in it's price. When you play it, you really feel like you're in the cockpit. It probably deserves the price tag it fetches. SK1 is merely a digital keyboard copycat version and is made of the basic modern materials. Not putting SK1 down, it's a damn good instrument but I can't say that it's nearly worth the price tag it fetches. We've advanced so far in digital technology that these things should be really fairly cheap to sell. In 1985, Radio Shack sold a 15mb hard drive for $2,495, today we can get a terabyte flash drive/sd card for what, $60ish maybe. It's corporate greed.

That´s true. In fact, that this instrument ist "just" a digital copy of the glory hammond, the price is indeed very high. Here in Germany I could get a SK1 73 for around 1.900€, I don´t know how much this is in $

I guess the challenge with this product line is having a quite intense development of the product (yes it's digital but the sound is best-of-class definitely) combined with a quite low sales margin. That's why the pricing is as-is, one must remain at least able to survive...

Viva Hammond!!!!!
