Simply fabulous new HAMMOND, the best clone of legendary HAMMOND B3, A100, C3, a real HAMMOND organ built by HAMMOND. Rather FAMOUS, the best new HAMMOND (here a SK) with so professional XK serie, don't look for another keyboard like Nord, this one is state of the art, it's a real HAMMOND, the BEST. Thanks for the fabulous work of HAMMOND Engineers. With a real LESLIE cabinet (122 147 760vl) it's impossible to tell if it's a legendary B3/A100/C3/M100 or a new B3. The organ players who respect themselves , the enthusiasts HAMMOND players, the purists who practised wonderful B3 cannot deny Hammond. This HAMMOND of last generation are impressive of quality, the series XK 3/C and SK is simply what does best.

OK. I will be very brief. Great presentation. Brother Scott, you know this is a great instrument. I played the prototype of the SK-2. I fell in love with Hammond all over again. Adding the new sounds makes it a must for any serious player. I will tell you this I am so sold on the new Hammond Organs ,and let's not forget the Leslie , I believe the only thing left is that Hammond should consider a line of digital clocks . Ok , maybe a metronome for guys like me. But what else is left. I Love It.

I'm new to the SK1. I'd love to know the settings Christian is using to get the Rhodes (stage), Rhodes (suitcase), Rhodes (bass), Vox, Farfisa, Clavinet, and Wurlitzer. The preset names are rather vague.

It's strange to see piano under Hammond brand, primarily associated with organs. But ' that's a nice travel-friendly instrument, containing most popular live sounds in jazz/rock context

I just obtained the hammond sk1. One of the things that I don't understand with it is the saxaphone and trumpet sounds etc. They all sound distorted and disappointing to me. Hopefully someone could help me figure this out...

Most keys I've played, the horns sound sound like fifth graders in beginning band. Apparently, electronic designers have no clue how many instruments really sound.

Just ordered this instrument from Sweetwater bundled with stand, bag and Expression pedal. It came with the EXP 20 pedal. Does anyone know if this will work with the Wah, or does it require the EXP 50. Also will the EXP 20 control the Leslie, or is the optional foot switch needed to control Leslie speed from the floor?. Looks like I may be needing some accessories.

I think u guys shoul put the leslie switch where it is at old ones. is very easy to work with that .

Can anyone tell me how to get a pitch bend effect on the sax or flute. Can this be done with the expression pedal. Don't understand the "GLIDE" function.
@sweetwater7 жыл бұрын
Hi Mikel, the Sk audio engine does not respond to Pitch Bending. But, like you suggested, you could use GLIDE. In the CONTROL Edit Menu, set FOOT SW to GLIDE. Also in the CONTROL Edit Menu, set GLIDE Range to +2 (two half steps) and TIME to some value between 0.1s and 1s. Now, when you step on the Footswitch you'll get a whole note swoop upwards.

Can somebody help on how to connect the SK Hammond to Protools. What cables do you need and how to do it. Thanks in advance.
@Tarkus_H8 жыл бұрын
Using a USB cable directly into the computer will make it a Midi controller, but to get the sound across, you may need an external interface to connect one or two quarter-inch cables from the outputs of the keyboard into the interface, connected to the computer, as well as the USB cable.

Question... Is there a portable bass pedals connection on the back of the Sk1?
@sweetwater5 жыл бұрын
Hi, Terrence. That is a great question! The only connection that I am seeing on the back of the Hammond for Bass pedals is going to be the MIDI IN/OUT. You would be able to connect the Hammond SK Pedal board into the SK1 and that has a built-in expression pedal, as well. If you have any other questions or would like to dive into this a little bit deeper, please feel free to give us a call anytime! I took a chance & bought the SK2. I'm on day #2 and still can't figure how to assign sounds to the bottom manual. The owner's manual is typical uber-geek - It leaps into super-technical instructions on how to change and micro-tweak everything, but I can't find ONE simple, clear statement anything like: HERE IS HOW TO ASSIGN A SOUND TO THE BOTTOM MANUAL. Oh, well...Maybe I can get somebody on the phone, tomorrow.

I will agree that many churches are going towards praise bands, however, The pipe organ is not second class to the Hammond B-3 sound and is used in as many churches with praise bands of contemporary and traditional worship style. As far the pipe organ voices, Its only good for beginning students because most pipe organ music require more ranks and manuals.
@harrisonmyers157210 жыл бұрын
Not to mention that some pipe organ songs, e.g. J.S. Bach's "Toccata et Fugue in Dm" require certain parts to be played exclusively with the bass pedals of an organ.

I have an SK1 73 for 3+ years now...it’s a great instrument. But this design is now 7-8 years old now. Needs an update. 1. Get rid of the upper/lower stuff - you have the SK2 now 2. Pitch bend! Had it on my XK3c and used it. 3. More presets Favorites locations. 4. MIDI separated external control section. 5. More modern and readable display. 6. NO MORE WALL WART PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

I own an SK!-73. The owners manual is horrible and the keyboard is not very user friendly at all. The Hammond website isn't very helpful. No customer service whenever I call. The organ sounds great, the piano sounds excellent, but if you are looking for an all around keyboard that is easy to use I would absolutely not recommend the Sk1. I like my Roland much better, the Hammond gets left at home most often now.

@robfriedrich28228 жыл бұрын
+Vance Bollinger Roland has the V combo, with 2 different Hammond emulations, Farfisa, Vox, pipe organ and pianos, electric pianos and all this stuff. Ok, not this perfect accordion emulation and not the soprano voice, but sounds you need.
@robfriedrich28228 жыл бұрын
+Vance Bollinger When you can live with virtual drawbars and wants perfect simulations of acoustic instruments and synthesisers, the Roland Jupiter 80 could justify you. It's a mix of an organ's upper manual and a big synthesizer.

I would want a Hammond for the organ sounds. They are pretty good, but I feel there is too much on this instrument and it needs to be more dedicated to the Hammond parts. Too much like a shopping channel advert. Put me off. I absolutely love Hammond organs, but I have to say the Crumar Mojo 61 sounds way better than this, I’ve owned two Rhodes and one Wurli’ and the Mojo has them down to a ‘t’! Also, the ‘Hammond sounds’ are so detailed, showing dirt and noise and idiosyncrasies that the old Hammonds had, after a while of use. Too much talking. I had to wait 15 mins to find out that it had overdrive! I really wanted one of these at one point, but the competition is better, in my opinion.

Nice products but wrong endorsers and wrong songs ,also should be demonstrated with drums and a hollowbody guitarist as well. In the USA ,the number of GREAT old school organists is lessening.I think that one of those stars should be used.I guarantee for your sales to increase.Also you should take additional advice "more" from the general public.
