I'm 27 and bought almost every dvd of hammy the hamster for myself! I will continue to get the rest of the episodes if I see them. it's a good show to watch when you're relaxed. it's too cute! my cat likes this show too! whenever I put it on and he hears the theme song he'd walk over and watch it on my bed with me.

This is the Canadian version that was produced by YTV in 1995. My daughter Rheilly used to watch "Once Upon a Hamster" all the time when she was a kid (she's 31 now).

Never liked the ending; whenever I wanted continue with them and explore their world. The narrator has to say: "But, that's another story...". Noooooooooooo! Nostalgia after so many years, good programming and R.I.P. for the little animals that helped in the show! (1960's TV)

I am sure I only watched this because I watched it as a little boy in the 60s. I loved Hammy. I had a Bobo. I left him in my pocket and my mother washed him. My first experience with death. It hurt. I can vividly remeber him in my mother's hand. We even had a funeral for him.

I read somewhere when they were done with the series the directors turned them all loose and they did Not live long. Not sure how they would find them dead but it was filmed in a small area.
