Is it possible to do a video on biting? Our 9 week old is lethal with biting when in the mood and wanting to know good ways to stop it - distracting with toys don’t seem to work sadly. Appreciate he’s 9 weeks so possibly teething boosting it!

Some of the biggest issues are that people overstimulate the dogs by having them out for way too long in the early stages the other thing is to look at lowering the protein puppy foods are very high in protein and a spaniel is like a normal dog with ADHD when they have a high protein puppy food it tends to make the biting and energy level much worse. I always recommend getting onto a raw diet which will bring the protein level write down and help to calm your dog down.

@@hampshirespanieltrainingwi9314 thanks Chris. He’s usually sleeping roughly 18 hours a day minimum. Currently feeding him lily’s kitchen which has 29% protein so will look into reducing that!

@@BenMorgan-c3p most issues with biting come from overstimulation Dog being out for too long I would always look at lowering the protein high puppy protein foods tend to wind your dog up. I generally prefer to get the protein as low as possible that will help to keep your dog calmer

@@BenMorgan-c3p if you buy an ordinary dog like a Labrador or golden retriever the protein level is less significant. I always like in a spaniel to a normal dog with ADHD you wouldn't give an ADHD child a can of Redbull as it would hype them up protein has a similar effect, so for me feeling a high protein puppy food to a working spaniel is something that I never do
