I just started studying a few weeks ago and I'm about to try the test. I just wanted to point out the main thing I have found with the questions that have an all above are correct. If its not the all above are correct then normally there is at least one anwser that will be outta left field. Also if your not 100% on your anwser reread all the answers and weed out the ones that you know are incorrect. That way if you weed out 2 answers then you have a 50/50 shot if your completely guessing. Goodluck everyone. Thanks for the video man.

On to the General lessons for next month's test day already got 11 right not knowing anything for a cold testing try. I have taken the HamRadioPrep course and will take the Tech test is a few weeks. I've been taking the sample test they provide and almost always get 90% or higher. But when I took the random practice test today I saw a lot of questions I had not seen before. It occured to me that the test bucket was changed in the last few weeks. I ran across your videos and decided to watch this one on a whim. So glad I did. Very impressive approach to covering the questions. I look forward to viewing the rest of what you are doing and I plan to move onto the General test in a few months. I am 78 years old and fulfilling a long time goal. Thanks Joss. I hope to have a call sign soon. 78 (just a coincidence)

It's been 30 years since my degree in electrical engineering. Doubt that will help me much even if it was yesterday. I did take a cool senior-level class on high-power rf tubes (magnetrons, traveling-wave tubes, klystrons, etc), which will help me even less.

Hi newbie here. Yes please keep doing these and please keep this format and length. I plan to rewind and watch each segment and keeping them short would help me digest the info. Separately, you are reading from a Mac laptop. I'm a Mac user but it seems that everything in Ham happens on a PC. I'm not finding a lot of interface apps for Mac to ICOM equipment for example. Do I need to also get a Windows based PC?

Hi Josh, THX for the great video. I just wish there would be a Dutch channel doing what you do because I'm studying for what's called a "novice licensed radio amateur" exam asap in The Netherlands. But anyway the technical background fundamentals for radio amateurs are universal so watching this will help passing my exam.

The thing that helps me the most when studying is to eliminate all the wrong answers. I laterally typed out this whole study guide, every single question, with the correct answer. The only questions with all answers are the ones that say "all of the above are correct." This speeds up studying tremendously for me, and burns in the correct answers.

Test Strategy: If you are certain that 2 of the choices are correct but aren't sure of the third, the answer is "All of these choices are correct." Likewise, if you are sure that ONE of choices is incorrect, the answer is NOT "All of these choices are correct." Applying this can increase your guessing average. It is best to understand the material, not just memorize the answers. But, passing the test and going back for the deeper understanding later is a valid strategy.
