This was 7 years ago! I'm new. It's 2024 now and I'm watching. Your petals are so neat and uniform.. every one is so tidy. I've struggled with tangling but not giving up😊😊
@DrawTangleswithDawn6 ай бұрын
Don't give up. Its just a matter of practice. I've been doing art most of my life so I have practiced with drawing multiple decades.

thank you soooo much for putting these up!!! i live in a place where there are NO classes to take and no money if i COULD find one, so im self taught, and THAT would never happen either if it wasn't for people like you!!! i wish i could do more, but im hashtagging you and recommending you to anyone who listens...reallly realllly big thanks...peace from cape cod...

@momsmith9267 thanks. I share because I love the art form and truly believe anyone can do it. It does not NEED fancy expensive supplies. If you have ve something to draw with and something to draw on, you can do this art.

Thank you for sharing in the way you have. I've watched other tutorials on this and it just seem like they are showing off. Your pattern is not highfalutin, it's totally doable and beautiful!

I learned about scratchy paper and tearing up when I blend😄. Some papers don't blend hardly at all.

This is a difficult pattern if you don't pay attention to the growth of the petal right from the start. You did a beautiful job and your shading was definitely the frosting on the cake! Great result. I will try this one, now that I see where it could go wrong and how to avoid that. Thank you so much. I love your videos.

I like it too…gonna do one tom 🙂 I tend to use smoother card stock, trouble is it doesn’t shade as well as the more textured surface. I also use 6/8 hb, which I find shows up better on smooth card 🙂.

I just found you. I have to try something like this! I saw the video of just lines. It’s so relaxing just watching you and seeing how you don’t get upset if things are going a little different than expected. It’s the pen and paper talking to us. Not some stressful quest for perfection. And in the end you create your perfection. I love your attitude!

Thank you so much for you kind words. I try to remember that it is the act of drawing and not the final product that is the part that relaxes me

@DrawTangleswithDawn3 жыл бұрын
I draw on all sizes. This video was a long time ago so I don't recall the size on this. It was probably 3.5 inch square as I used that size a lot when I first started my channel

Beautiful pattern! I thought a tortillion and a stump was two words for the same thing. What is the difference?
@DrawTangleswithDawn6 жыл бұрын
a blending stump is a pencil shaped stick made of paper pulp. a tortillion is rolled paper into a point. I show the difference between them here in this video at about the 16 minute mark kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5W8eaKBaJ15f5o

I don't know the name in spanish - it is called a blending stump or tortillion. maybe you can find the spanish version of this wiki page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tortillon
