Hi..first and foremost tnx a million for mking learning so easy Can u please post avideo on all the actions of the upperlimb muscles and also specially abt the scapulohimeral rythm. Thmx❤
@MemorizeMedical2 ай бұрын
I usually don't include actions because there are way too many of them, and also because they are really not something worth memorizing. Instead, if you know where the origins and insertions are, you can simply imagine what would happen if those spots were pulled closer together. After all, a muscle can only do two things: contract or relax, so it's better to focus on the origin and insertion and extrapolate the action from there. 🍻

But isn't adductor magnus also part of hamstring muscles 😢
@MemorizeMedical4 ай бұрын
The adductor magnus has a "hamstring portion" which acts like a hamstring, but it is not usually considered a 'true' hamstring itself. The true hamstrings are semitendinosus, semimembranosus, and the biceps femoris (short and long head).

Is adductor Magnus part of hamstring ?
@MemorizeMedical9 ай бұрын
Depends on who you ask. Part of the adductor magnus flexes the knee like a hamstring and is even referred to having a "hamstring" part, so it is sometimes, but less often, considered a hamstring muscle. I think this over complicates things personally, and I think the general consensus is that the term hamstring is reserved for the biceps femoris, semitendinosus, and semimembranosus specifically.

@MemorizeMedical11 ай бұрын
SemiTendinosus with a T lies on Top of semimembranosus. SemimemBranosus with a B is Below or on the bottom of these two muscles. Is that the mnemonic you're asking about?
@PrachiParnavi11 ай бұрын
@@MemorizeMedical yes thnku❤️ ..but superficially and deep would be more correct to say na than top n bottom
