I had a bad luck with this 5555N. Bought an N.O.S. one last year which was manufactured 2014, after only 5 months of use, just lost the RX and no help from Anytone. Dropped them an email and to no avail.

I am in US and have that radio. works quite well. with the program cable you get a few more features and you can change display a bit. like the 5555n can change to call sign or what ever you want. the SWR protect was set 20:1 factory I set 3:1 . also with a Digi rig and Anytone cable set you can work digital modes with that radio. 1 cable goes in Ext speaker and outher goes in MIC . then USB to PC . I have done SSTV and FT8/FT4 also JS8 call . and more. just program for PC . I have MMSSTV ,FL Digi and WSJT-x and all works just a bit trickly to get levels right. setting volume on radio and mic gain along with levels in PC. once you get that works great. just on digital modes keep power down to help with heat on finals . also change TOT to off . I ran FT8 hours with power all way down. USB and into a AMP got many contacts. radio stayed cool. I set radio to 50 watts. part way down from full and heat sink got quite warm after a few minutes. FT8 is 50% duty cycle. 15 sec TX/RX . 28.0740 and USB . I jot the UK from NY . 10 meter FT8 on end fed halfwave 49:1 antenna . Hurd about the wind storm a wile back on JS8 call from UK England. . we got that crazy weather in the US as well. 73's
