Thanks for this video. I enjoyed it. I owned a brand new IC-7000 back around 2011. One feature I really enjoyed was the dual manual notch filter. You can place a notch on either side of a signal you are listening to. 73 de WA3RSL

I will trade you an Icom iC-7000 for the Yaesu FT857D frequency unlocked, please. I purchased a beautiful Icom IC-7000. But it is for region 0, Japan. The frequencies are not changeable to North American frequencies. Here are the frequency coverage for transmit: 30Khz to 26Mhz, 28Mhz to 29.999Mhz, 50Mhz to 54Mhz, 144Mhz to 146Mhz, 430Mhz to 439.99Mhz, all modes. The receive is 30Khz to 199.99Mhz, and 430Mhz to 480Mhz. I can not change the transmit, no matter what I try. There are diodes missing inside where someone attempted it. Or maybe the Japanese use model just comes with one large diode in the diode matrix. I do not know this because there is nothing on the world wide web for the Japanese usage ic-7000. This is the 100 watt version. Do you have any interest in the radio? Or perhaps you may know how to unlock the transmit for north American frequencies and can help me. Thank you for your consideration.

@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones I am currently in United States of America. I do not mind an exchange. But, I must warn thst the radio can not be changed from its Japanese transmit frequencies with the current CPU. I can find nobody that has a CPU for sale by itself. If you are willing to experiment, or use it as an HF radio only, I still want to make the exchange. It has the original box, original owner's manual in Japanese. I am not trying to discourage the exchange. I just want to be honest.

Expecting delivery of my IC-7000 today, apparently only used by an old lady listening to Sunday church in CW. 😂 Can't wait
