This resonates with me deeply. About 1 year ago (school btw) a was skinny armed and big bellied and moobs too, no one respected me people irritated me daily be it throwing paper balls at me, making fun of me for stupid decisions when I was in my early teens and laughing at me when I try to make a point and I got met with “stop trying to sound smart cause ur not”. I slouched too, I was regularly late to school never did homework and put in no study for up coming per holiday tests. I found Hamza, Nofap, Zyzz and Gentlemen’s game, I set out to self improve physically and mentally. Throughout I learned I was delusional, negative, that my diet was messed up, I wasn’t confident whatsoever all the blue pill weakness included. But about 8 months ago I was told by someone in my year who was and still is more physically conditioned than I am, he said you’ve lost weight. I was happy even though it was a few minutes of happiness I was happy for the first time in quite a while, 3 more months pass and at this point I’ve put on a good noobie gains foundation for what is to come. But around then one of the people who had tried to irritate me in the past tried to again in the middle of a class, I stood my ground I raised my voice let him know I wasn’t backing off, not like before and he said nothing and was silent for the remaining 20 minutes, after that same class I was making my way through the hallways to the sports hall where we had PE and there he was with a group he was part of 7 or 8 of them and the one who they saw as the “leader” called at me with at me with a small comment that set off a nuclear bomb of rage inside me but it was controlled, I got right up in his face asking why he made the comment and a bit of back and fourth later he pushed me. When he did I knew he was terrified I had size on him maybe 10-15kg (context I was 89-92 kg 6ft 1 and around 25% body fat) and I started pushing his buttons encouraging him to swing first once it was broken up by my best mate I walked away he shouted your dead I turned round and said let’s have it then and he repeated himself and as did I and nothing he way maybe 5 meters away at this point I really wanted to pummel him but I knew I had to show I wasn’t bothered by him and all those videos of self improvement mental and emotional control led to this point, there was a reason I watched those videos and a situation like that was one of them. The teacher was behind my back around 15 meters down the hall he must have heard it all, and he pulled us into a class to speak to us privately the loudmouth tried to lie and I noticed he was starting to shake the fight or flight was starting to kick in so I pointed it out I asked him if he’s scared, then all he’ll broke lose he was screaming and shouting all sorts of threats and how he’d beat me, I was the one in control now I was the one irritating him yet I was calm I wasn’t scared, old me? nah I wouldn’t have even turned at the first comment I would’ve taken it like ever other time. As he jumped around shouting I stood and laughed at him I deliberately did this because it was funny seeing him so powerless he was and because there where cameras that recorded everything in the hallway and the teacher had witnessed from what I know just the class room part. I walked back into the class and the biggest lad in school and our year patted me on the back after that not only did have a large physical presence but also large social presence that single moment change my school life and how even some of my closer friends treated me. The first time in my life I had respect from my peers and also that teacher who asked me how he’d would’ve never in a million years would’ve stayed so calm. Nobody showed the slightest disrespect afterwards and I’m glad I’m so young and taking in this knowledge know and know how to hold yourself as a real man. That moment made me feel manly and it was the day I think I really stared to become a man. I

I’m 135 mostly because I’m a boxer and fighter and that’s my weight. I disagree when you say mass is the most important thing. I’ve had guys that weigh way more than me compliment me on my physique. I’m more lean yet you can tell I have muscle on me. And honestly I’m very proud of the physique I’ve built so far. Yes I would like to put on more mass but I’ve sparred guys and fought guys that are 20, 30, and even 40 pounds heavier than me and I’ve done pretty good against them. Mass isn’t everything in my opinion. It’s how you use your mass and how you carry yourself that gives you the respect of others.

FINALLY another combat athlete I can talk to in the comments. Yeah I fight at 152 (I did 165 a few times though). This guy is pretty much close minded on his view. Basically saying “fuck any other type of training, my way is the only way”. Really damn stupid. If I decided to bulk up to 180, it would be a REAL HARD time for me to fight the guys in that weight class who are naturally taller and bigger. Also I’m not gonna be intimidated by the bodybuilder looking dude who would gas out and get his ass whooped within seconds.
@bradenmaxwellwalker24922 жыл бұрын
Hamza it’s possible to lean bulk! Building lean muscle mass rather than fat. The key is to eat lots of protein, as many carbs as needed for the amount of activity done, and a low amount of fat to keep body fat down. More body fat is more estrogen and less testosterone, women are supposed to have more body fat than men.

The Results will always bring respect. For example, most rich people (or people who fake being rich) who start on social media blow up FAST purely based on the fact they have money and people want and respect that. THat type of respect if fickle, once you lose the reward, you lose the respect also. Being seen putting in the WORK on a daily, weekly, monthly basis is how you grow a massive respect because you can't fake doing the work. People inherently understand that putting in the work is HARD and the fact that you show up CONSISTENTLY brings you a lasting respect money can't buy. Bottom line is, do what you say you're going to do and put in the work.

Whether people want to accept it or not, envy is a kind of respect, certainly its dark side. When people express envy toward other people, often times, it's not because they don't respect another person's status, it's because in comparison, they don't respect their own. A person content with their own life will not feel compelled to react to someone else like that. Conversely, people who are not obsessed with and jealous of the qualities of others, can and will acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments and status of people around them. Men, in particular, respect men who achieve, men who succeed, men who have presence, a kind of grace, men, who by their very existence exude a strong sense of character. Become a person worthy of respect and it will happen on its own.

I'm in the UK at the top end of high school, so, 16 years old but ever since the very start of primary school I've noticed that people don't like me, I've always had such a low status among people my age, I get along better with adults, I think my low status can either be attributed to how much more mature than people my age I am, or maybe it's because I'm really skinny. But all my life I've always tried my best to be kind to everyone and so I think I come across as a pushover but I'm just so sick of that now. I'm sick of being disrespected by people my age and pushed to one side. Even my best friends always put me at the recieving end of their jokes, I'm always the one that suffers at their hands, they respect me so little that it's shocking. So either I need to find better friends (which I feel I can't do because no one at my school would be that comfortable with me joining their friend group, in other words, they're all I have) or I need to make them respect me. But how do I do that?

If it was like a skinny guy wearing no mask, my coworkers would joke about the guy being a conspiracy theorist. In my journal of self improvement, I started with not many men respecting me , who I thought were on a higher social level than me , but as I started my good habits , and working in silence , after a certain point of time , the results were compounding and I started to see the people who did not respect me , change their behaviour towards me and acknowledging my accomplishments. Therefore, in my experience I had to become a strong masculine version of myself in order to gain respect from other men and even women.

@MRMeaws2 жыл бұрын
I believe thinking is very essential; How ever, I do believe hesitation could definitely hinder yourself. Having thorough deep thoughts before you commit to and ideology is very beneficial . Thinking less lead many men into taking very unnatural ideologies, like many men would mindlessly scroll though social media. This is more a language problem than an issue in from your message. But just to clarify (because English is a horrible language lol)

@@MRMeaws The specific quote of thinking less, with the context, is meant to encourage action, because too many individuals often overthink to the point they exacerbate their anxiety, scarcity mindset, etc. ofc, in general, deep though and reflection is NECESSARY. But, without actions and following it up with the doing, thinking remains just that: thinking.

Get respect from men 1) Get bigger Build more muscle 2) be more asculine Grow a beard, talk with a deeper voice, longer hair. 3) Put in the work cobsistently keep your promises, if you dont you will lose Self Respect, if you dont have self respect how do you expect others to respect you? 4) Be Generous and Kind

The talk with a deeper voice one is cringe. People know when its forced and when its not. Even Hamza sounds weird with his newfound unnatural deep tone. When you force something, it doesn't come across as natural. Being natural/yourself is what will earn you most respect.

@@luffytaro5951 I hear you brother and I'm not having a go at you but let me give you one example. Andrew Tate doesn't have a deep voice and he speaks fast, so that would disprove your point? Whether you like him or not, when he speaks, people listen. I know lots of men who don't have deep voices but they have respect from other men. Find what works for you. Keeping it real will be your best bet. My old man has a really deep voice so my voice is deeper than normal too but not as deep as his. If I tried to copy his tone, it wouldn't come across as natural at all.

I do not agree with this at all. I think it's a weakness to think about what other people think of you, and a strength is actually to dont give a fu*k what anybody says or think about you. To not give a fu*k about other people opinions is one of the main skills of self improvement.Not everyone can love you .Hamza, you were wrong about this, and very wrong.

Agree. It’s literally self validation and confirming to a conditioned system and is unnatural/unhealthy. Also it’s not realistic for most tbh. It’s like saying “people respect you if you have a man bun, so grow a man bun. Also, but expensive clothes and car for respect”.

Skinny fat men tend to suffer most from this irrational fear of bulking and gaining weight because of 'ab anxiety' (aka losing your skinny boy abs). Men need to realize that they can always cut and look 'shredded' later if need be. Bulking from skinny fat is the ultimate form of delayed gratification.

This was me a few years ago. Was convinced I had to cut because I was scared of getting fatter but the best thing I did was lean bulk and train hard. Abs will be my priority for next summer
@bengalboypaco31402 жыл бұрын
This can be bad advice depending on the persons knowledge of fitness but as a skinny fat person you main concern should be recomping your body when your skinny fat you have low muscle mass and high fat in this state you CAN burn fat and build muscle at the same time bulking while skinny fat will make your problem worse since you wont enter a catabolic state if your skinny fat DONT bulk your concern should be building your core/ posterior chain to get rid of love handles and belly fat while also strength training to put on muscle
@ScotsmanJ2 жыл бұрын
@@bengalboypaco3140 skinny fat is just lack of muscle and higher body fat. From my own experience I would recommend a lean bulk focusing on size and strength then commit to a proper cut down the line. Recomp takes too long and doesn't work for most people.
