I was in a long distance relationship for 3 years. They can work and are successful when both people commit. We now own a home, both have our own cars, grow most of our own food and shop whole goods from small local businesses, and have a 2 month old son. I was in a similar situation last month, there was this girl in my coaching, she was good looking and objectively beautiful, one day I received an award on stage for scoring top marks, she thought I was cute and we started talking, she asked for my Instagram, I told her I don't use it and so we exchanged our phone no. We used to go on swings and stuff but I got busy with gym and studies thts when she showed me her true colour, she used to blackmail me telling me tht she is supposed to be my priority i told her I need some time because I have too much going on, there was this pressure building on me, so I talked to my best friend he adviced me to break up if it's interfering with my life. But whenever I go to school and see her talk to other guys it makes me feel kinda horrible. However what I will say though is as men of self improvement we are constantly evolving and become more desirable and bigger forces in society. I’m sure this has happened to you but I know self improvement has helped me attract better women and it will continue to do that. Some advice I have for you is that those thoughts of wanting to be back with her will come and they’ll be strong but the best thing for you is to double down on self improvement and slowly get addicted to the process. I know when I was with her I fell off the wagon a bit in a few areas so for me right now my main focus has been improving my mental health, healing any trauma/ self doubt, and continuing to improve across many realms. I left her a month ago and this week my urges to reconnect were very strong however after some journaling and dopamine free time alone, I’ve realized all I’ve missed was physical intimacy with her. As a man dedicated to improving himself will this be hard to replace? I think not. Good luck brother

Hey Hamza, I've been on self improvement for over 1½ years now. I've been hitting the gym consistently and meditating. Yet I feel I'm lacking something that holds everything together. Some days I'm full of confidence and other days I feel low and don't feel like doing anything. Now, I need your advice on my relationship. I'm in a long distance relationship with this woman for 9 months now. Everything was good but since 20 days or so we've been fighting a lot because we're not able to give time to each other (mostly she's the one busier than me the whole day doing her college work most of times). She used to text me a lot in the beginning of the relationship and it's not the same anymore, theres no texts or calls from her now and her efforts has decreased a lot from morning to evening but she calls every night and talks only about her day and cares less about how my day went. After seeing all this, I don't see a future with her now considering it's a long distance relationship and it's going to take atleast 3-4 years for us to get married. I'm not sure if I should break it off with her or I should compromise my expectations. I don't want to leave her because she is a very feminine woman and has all the qualities that I like. But the situations making it tough for us to go through it. Advices are welcome.
