It's very fun, with a lot of stories about the drama in the inner palace, with Maomao just being unapologetically herself. She's so real, the dynamics are so fun and even the side characters have a lot of depth to them. Each story is memorable in its own ways, it feels like a slice of life x palace drama x whodunnit x a tinge of super slow burn romance (or just Jinshi being insufferable). I mean, it's such a fun story, you would have a good time reading it.
