Absolutely wonderful tutorial...! you are soooo good at teaching and explaining in detail.. You are very clear and make it look easy. I love this shape and plan to experiment as I've been looking for a good hand built mug tutorial. Thank you for sharing and as soon as I get in my studio, I'll be trying this.(which will be almost immediately, lol) And Thank you also for explaining how you form different aspects and the "gentle" approach. This is awesome and you are now on my FAVORITES FOLLOWING list!

I loved your cup, but if you allow me a suggestion, I think it would look better to put the handle in the area where the cup joint is, maybe it would look better than leaving the joint in front.

thankyou for the awesome tut and yr patient efforts- just one question remains- how to calculate the measure of bevelled bottom to cut away - with respect to the cylindrical body? - any general formula that may help- ie how do you arrive at 1.5 cm triangle template? to cut away

I had to share my mug. I did this a year ago when I first started with pottery. I watched your video and followed along. Hence, I did not know about leather hard so my walls started to cave in, had sponges to hold them up until it was dry… i kept going and it is my fav mug. Reminds me of how much I have learned. Thank you so much for your detailed and fun video! Unfortunately I can not get my photo to attach. Sorry…
