this is the 2nd time i build a manual winch, the first doesnt came with a reverse break feature. and this time it works perfectly and it also works in electric Drill.
90 percent of the parts are from bicycle parts, bicycle rear sprocket, bicycle side wheel hub, bicycle Brake Drum and 4.0mm steel plate.
this winch can be use for lifting and pulling.
i will attach this winch on my new working studio.

Buy a diferential chain hoist ,those can lift heavy loads and are not that expensive.

May design ako sa utak ko boss sek, bale 2 speed (hi/low) transmission addon para sa mga motor. Naka pwesto sa swingarm or sa may itaas ng makina (kung katulad ng style ng Kawasaki HD3 ang makina) this design can aid the scrambler setup engines. Kumbaga pwede na siyang maging on road at off road dahil dito. 15-13 high 14-16 low. Search nyo yung 2 speed gokart transmission sa KZbin. Same principle pero smaller in size.

Very nicely Engineered and built ! My biggest concern would be overall longevity as the bicycle parts like bearings and races aren’t engineered to be under the same demands a winch would be Under although i guess on that note many of those parts would be inexpensive and fairly easy to replace as needed too !

The idea is very nice but the workmanship is hopeless and could be dangerous. Looking at 11:14 with that main shaft taking all the load in open slot, slanting down and only two nuts holding the load in that manner, I would have added some protection so that the main shaft would be better fitted even if it a case of recessing some material in the side mounting to capture the nut in a better fashion. All the bearings should have been sleeved and well lubricated.

Дружище всё отлично но та звёздочка что на длинной шпильке на осях не имеет подшипников. Протрётся шпилька и раздолбит отверстия и будет не совсем хорошо. Надо что то сделать.👍👍👍 Freund ist alles in Ordnung, aber das Kettenrad, das auf dem langen Bolzen auf den Achsen keine Lager hat. Der Bolzen wird gerieben und die Löcher zersplittert und wird nicht ganz gut sein. Wir müssen etwas tun.
