We compare features, noise levels and dry time of the most popular hand dryers. We show the World Dryer Airforce hand dryer, The Xlerator, The Dyson Airblade, World Dryer AirMax and Model A, American Dryer eXtreme Air, and the Fast Dry Jet Air JA01 hand dryer.
Please note - while our incredibly high-tech set-up may impress you, this comparison is for general purposes only and it is not a very scientific hand dryer study. The time of dry is subjective and the decibel reading does not use calibrated equipment. Therefore actual dry times and noise levels may differ significantly in real-life settings. But we feel this gives you a good idea in what to expect for these hand dyers.

Excel has pretty much taken the New England market, since it's based out of Massachusetts. I will say that the restrooms at the Warwick Mall food court (Warwick, RI) have both Airblade and Xcelerators. I taught myself to play the Blue Danube Waltz on the Xcelerator ( yes my sense of humor is off center)

At the Bryant Park NYPL, on 42nd Street, the 3rd Floor Men's Restroom, has a drinking fountain in it, & there is a Model A hand dryer, which is very loud. There was an Airmax automatic hand dryer, & it was replaced by Model A. Some Dayton, & Nova 5 hand dryers that are push button look like Model A.

At the 67th Street Branch NYPL, in the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Floor Bathrooms, the hand dryers are Nova 5's, which are automatic, & look like Airmax.

When it comes to speed, the Stiebel Eltron Ultronic is the champ. Overall the Mitsubishi Jet towel is the best dryer, it's very fast and impressively quiet.

Dyson is quieter I go to m&s and it has both except the mitsubishi is not the jet towel it is the new 1 and suprise,suprise the Dyson is quieter by much

I haven't seen the newer Mitsys in person. The 8th gen (curved top) models are quieter than Dyson for sure, and I assumed the ninth gens were about the same.

In New Zealand the WD Smartdry is branded as the Supreme TornadeSD. I've used them, bloody good, but the place that had them set them quite loud.

My second favourite was the World Dryer Model A. My third favourite was the World Dryer AirMax. My fourth favourite was the Extreme Air Dryer. My fifth favourite the Dyson Airblade it has only 1 out of 100 power My least favourite was the Xlerator Excel Dryer it has no power at all.

The Excel Dryer Inc. hand dryer model C comes in Push Button, or Automatic. At the Milstein hall of Ocean Life at the museum of natural history, 2 automatic hand dryers of those are right next to each other. At the Lenox Hill Neighborhood house, in the Men's Locker room, the main bathroom hand dryer is Dyson Airblade, & the hair dryer is an Excel Dryer Inc. It features a Chrome Cover, & The Label has the name of the dryer. It says Excel Dryer Inc. Model C.

I have seen an Airforce hand dryer in real life before. At Mighty Taco, near Buffalo Niagara International Airport, in the bathroom, they have an Airforce hand dryer. It was white.

A company in Taiwan called "Hokwang" makes these dryers and various importers buy them in bulk and put their name on it (like air fury, columbia vortex, vent axia, etc.). When Hokwang is distributing the dryers themselves they put the branding "Fastdry" onto them, as I belive that is what Hokwang translates to
