That "Te Amo" ring is fantastic. The different patterns and engraving styles on it really command a much closer look and attention. The hours and skill it would take to create it are beyond my ability to comprehend.

Thank you!~ there is a lot that goes into getting to this point, but I still have much to improve. The amount I had to polish this ring definitely changed the outcome, but we improve with every step we take when our eyes are open. Cheers~

Your practice has really improved your engraving skills. The rings were beautifully done and will be treasured. My practice plates for bead setting are still rough. I just need to put in the time to improve but I got distracted by sand casting. So much to learn!

Thank you for your kind words. There is indeed so much to learn. I suppose one of our major challenges is to decide what we want to learn enough to keep learning in a similar trajectory. I struggle with that part XD. I'm glad to find that engraving and stone setting give me the warm fuzzies when I finish a project, so i'll keep working on those... and some others... HAH!

I'm far from that skill, but I'll slowly learn.

The game is the fun isn't it? being on the way to the goal is perhaps what we're looking for.

There is also Rotary Tool Engraving. I have an engraver that spins at 400,000 RPM ! It's the size of a fat writing pen, uses no oil and sounds like a tiny, jet engine due to the internal turbine. It's pneumatic and thus is powered by compressed air and the speed is controlled with a foot pedal. With the right bits, it can engrave Glass, Metals & Stone. Sadly, I've never really had time to use it much.

Lots of cool tech, and each with a different effect~

Why bother with flint knapping. Blacksmithing or any craft then? Oh right, because they ARE crafts. And can't be replicated by ones and zeros.
