Brush lettering is so fun, but I remember when I started taking an interest in doing it I had to buy a load of brushes from the dark corners of the internet. So in this video I show you how you can use just a Crayola Marker Pen to create some amazing brush calligraphy.

I was blown away, your writing is almost exactly like my style, using Crayola's! I had been watching other hand lettering vids, by ladies, and their styles are so curly and fresh. I had been comparing mine to theirs and was getting depressed. I found your video and watched it, like I said, was blown away...."our" style, I find, is more industrial and vintage in appearance. I don't feel so down anymore, I'm uplifted, knowing I AM getting the hang of this, and it is really COOL looking!! Thanks

Will, I love your videos! I'd like to suggest a topic: how long should it take to present the first version of a logo to a client. I know it depends on many variables, but I've been seeing many agencies stating that they deliver the first version within 2 days and to me it seen like a kind of "fast food" logo design process. Am I wrong?

Different pens have different learning curves - when you get a new brush pen, just spend time using it and muscle memory will take hold making the whole process a lot easier! : )

Try and make the thin stoked a little bit thicker :) That will help with hand control.
