Linda and Drew are such sweet parents. Parker is a lucky little guy to have been born into very loving and close families! The cradle is lovely and immensely sentimental. Love it! Thanks for sharing some of your cherished childhood memories!

Thank you for sharing your tour of Parker’s sweet nursery. It feels like a space filled with so much love from your beautiful family. Each of our daughters’ beds are from their grandmothers- one from my mom, who passed away when I was in college, and one from my husband’s mom that she slept in as a little girl. It is so incredibly special to share those things with our girls. We also passed down some of our stuffed animals and toys that we had as children and they love having things that come with stories of us growing up.

How sweet that your parents saved the cradle and you refinished it! What I love having is a keepsake chest that my mom kept for me: Baby booties I wore arriving home from the hospital, my baby rattle, silver cup and spoon, birth record and baby bracelet, bronzed ballet slipper, a cut off braid, kindergarten diploma, etc. She kept a tiny record book of when I sat up, spoke my first word, first step... and little things that happened until about age 6. Very sweet!

I brought my 2 sons ( now 38 and 40) home from the hospital with the same blanket me and my 5 siblings were brought home with. My Paternal Grandmother crocheted it for my Mom when she was pregnant with her first child. Recently my2 Grand daughters were also brought home in it. A true treasure. Thanks for sharing your treasures.

When my son was about to marry an Asian woman, I went into the church uninvited and dragged him away. I couldn't let it go ahead. He was upset at the time, but is now married to a lovely Italian woman, and has kids that look like he does.

I was adopted and my birth mother had me baptized so my parents gave me a "name giving" ceremony. The dress I wore for it my mother gave to me and with a few changes I made it into my daughter's baptismal gown. ❤️

Have I missed seeing Parker? Can I suggest a Memory Box, I’m sure you have started one for Parker, they are a brilliant idea. Starting with the day he was born a newspaper, hospital band etc. first outfit, in fact all of his first’s go in the box. A great keepsake for you and Parker. Happy Memories xo 😘

I had a baby bed that went through 7 of us kids, and when I had my 3 children I used the baby bed for them. It really had cool baby designs on it which finally started wearing off.

I always got hand me downs . I had four older sisters Mom would have their dresses altered to fit me. I used hand me downs for my son and daughter too . My husband is 62 years old and we still have his rocking chair our son and daughter used it when they were little and we're saving it for grandchildren someday.

Such a great idea. I never got any hand-me downs as I was the oldest! When will you show us Parker? Maybe make a scrapbook of both families and keep it to show Parker when he gets older. From a Aussie Fan 😀😀😀❤️❤️😞😞

I'm 65 years old now. When I was born & came home from the hospital I wore a salmon colour sweater hat & booties. My Mom kept it for me. My daughter also wore this sweater set home from the hospital. I passed it down to her & my two Granddaughters wore it home from the hospital. Now it is packed away for their children. My bed spread from my crib has also been passed down & my christening dress as well. There is more stuff that was passed down as well & packed away for my Granddaughters children. I hope all the items that were mine continue to be passed down in our family.

I had my cradle and used it for both my boys. Unfortunately when I had to leave my home I couldn’t bring the cradle with me. I was homeless for close to 2 years and only took what I could. I would have definitely taken it if I had a place to go with it. I’m heartbroken over it. I wanted to save it for my grandkids (it will be a while for them but I’m sad I can’t pass it down)

I had a very similar cradle for my youngest daughter. I remember I was so tired, because I was studying for my PHD. I tied my robe tie to the cradle & had it sitting next to the bed. She had terrible colic so I nor she got much sleep, but that cradle was a miracle wonder. I would pull the other end of the robe tie and rock her. Signed still blurry eyed Mom all these years later😂
