Hi, my name is Venita. I just passed my CNA test thanks to your videos. Thank you very much. Your videos are the most informative and updated that I can find in the internet. Plus, you give very thorough instructions and you give us a heads up on what are the critical elements. Thank you again. God bless you and your family.

Good Evening Nurse Jar, first I would like to say thank you for your videos. Now I have a question 😁 when I was taught at my first skills night we used a bath basin. Recently we have been taught by a different instructor and they are using an emisis basin. I believe the bath basin is the correct way to do this skill. *My CNA test is tomorrow morning help!!!!!!

Good morning Nurse Jar, I do not get my results for my state exam until next Friday. I did want you to know one of my skills was hand & nail care. The state examiner would not allow me to use a bath basin but made me use an emesis basin instead. I think it's different in Massachusetts🤷♀️ When I am providing care at a facility, I will be using the bath basin because I feel it's the most effective way. Again I want to thank you for your videos and replying to my questions.

A few months ago I was a CNA home held aid and I lost my licence, but I just passed my test at the Red Cross thanks to your helpful videos. You always let us know the critical points. I have a question, after you pass the CNA test, do you get back your HHA automatically or do you you have to take the class again? If you can answer my question, that'd be appreciated
@NURSEJAR5 жыл бұрын
Hi, Marie! CONGRATULATIONS on passing your certification exam! I'm not too familiar with HHA certification protocols, so I would not be able to answer your question. However, I will try to find out for you. As a CNA, you are able to work as a Home Health Aide. But, as a HHA, you are not able to work as a CNA. The HHA would have to participate in and successfully complete a Nurse Aide Competency & Evaluation Program (NATCEP) in order to work as a CNA.

With this skill do you lower the bed?
@NURSEJAR5 жыл бұрын
Hi, Hope! Body mechanics is not scored during testing. Therefore, it really doesn't matter if you lower or raise the height of the bed. However, if you choose to raise the height of the bed, you must remember to lower it in a safe position before leaving the bedside.

@NURSEJAR4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Kris! During your Prometric Skills Exam, you are required to was your hands with running water and soap 2 times: once before you perform your first skill and once after you complete the first skill. If performed correctly both times, the NAE will advise you to only verbalize, "washing hands" during the remainder of your exam.
